Tribal Belly Dancer Head Shots with Dramatic Eye Make Up
I recently got to shoot some more photos of the lovely Laura! Besides being an awesome belly dancer, she is also a very talented make up artist! We put together this shoot to show off some dramatic eye make up for a class she is preparing to teach!
Three things about this photo shoot are really awesome to me:
(1) I have the kinds of friends that have the talent for makeup and styling to do what Laura does.
(2) This awesome shooting location is literally steps from my front door.
(3) I get to do my editing over a hot cup of tea with Laura after we shot the photos.

Baby L’s First Birthday at Celebration, FL
How cute is this little guy?! He’s got a first birthday approaching, so his parents and I took him out for some fun (and birthday photos!) around the local parks and play areas in Celebration, FL. It was a lot of fun, and the birthday boy was all smiles!
He’s not walking on his own quite yet, so there was a lot of hand holding, but those are some of the most precious shots. :)

Celebration, FL Photo Shoot with Orlando Belly Dancer and Model, Lisa Holt
I had the great privilege of working with a new modeling client this weekend - Lisa Holt of Carrara Nour. Lisa is a belly dancer here in Orlando who specializes in weddings and special events. We originally had a different idea for this photo shoot, but changed our minds at the last minute, and it all worked out wonderfully. Here is Lisa in her tropical paradise, around the lakes and walking trails in scenic Celebration, FL!

Fitness Photo Shoot with Adrienne Harvey
I just love working with this lady. It gives me a great opportunity to shoot things that are out of character for me, but I really enjoy it. Anyone that reads my blog and doesn’t know me in real life would probably not suspect I actually have an engineering background. I have a very mechanical mind, and that’s one of the reasons that I love photography so much. There is so much precision involved in all of the different factors that come together to create a great photo.
What’s really great about these fitness shoots with Adrienne (besides the fact that we have the same awesome name), is that the subject matter of the photos also has a fair amount of mechanics involved. As an added bonus, she’s been teaching me about kettlebell swings so that I can have a better understanding of how to capture these photos at the right moment, and since it’s been helping me to build some muscle, I can also carry more camera equipment around. ;)
You won’t find Adrienne swinging a kettlebell without a smile on her face. It’s great to work with people who love what they do!

…And sometimes for fun, she does this too:

Baby C - Fun with Collages
One of my good friends was in town visiting with her baby, so of course, I got all excited about it, packed up my camera, and then ran over to photograph the little guy. Alright, it wasn’t quite that quick. I’m in the process of moving and I had to make a long commute to go pick up all my baby photo props before I did this, but it was totally worth it. =D
I’ve also been having a lot of fun making some nice collage templates in Lightroom 4. Enjoy!
